"Nevermore" is a 12 x 9 oil painting on a Belgian linen panel.

This piece was completed specifically for an art call from the Hive artspace in York, PA, from curator, Susan Scofield. She accepted this piece for an Aviary exhibit and I was elated to hear that it sold! Looking forward to participating in more art calls from this awesome gallery.

I am a huge fan of horror and Edgar Allan Poe, so this was a no-brainer. The actual reference photo was taken from an injured animal sanctuary in Mendon, NY. This particular raven was blind, though I did not paint the eye to reflect this.
